Museum benefits from Dulux Paint’s community project

September 2024: Staff from Dulux UK repainted several buildings at the de Havilland Aircraft Museum at London Colney. The initiative was prompted by a chance conversation between the Museum’s president, Philip Birtles and William Gutch from Dulux. The Rapide fuselage now graces the Geoffrey de Havilland hangar, adding another interesting exhibit and a chance to finally see the restoration work close up. In the spirit of celebration, we gathered to honour volunteer John Ballam, marking a remarkable milestone—his 100th birthday! A heartfelt congratulations to John for his dedication and passion. Veterans Colin Bell and George Dunn  from 608 Mosquito Sqdn  received a special presentation of a painting

Looking Back at October 2023

Autumn at the museum kicked off in style! We were thrilled to welcome the Jaguar Enthusiasts club and host the People’s Mosquito Members’ Day. Renowned author Rowland White stopped by to sign copies of his latest book, ‘Mosquito.’ Shoutout to the fantastic students and teachers from Bonneygrove Primary in Cheshunt for brightening our halls during their school visit. As Halloween approached, young visitors had a blast with a range of spooktacular activities over the half term. A huge thanks to everyone who made these events memorable. Looking forward to more good times ahead at the museum even as the temperature
