High Fliers at the Museum

Sitting In the first-class section of the de Havilland Aircraft Museum’s Comet airliner, Babs and John Warriner joined us at the museum to look back at their combined nine decades of flying. After a career of 34 years, including working on the Comet, Babs retired in 1998 as Fleet Director Cabin Crew on Concordes. One of her strongest memories was practising her curtsy when the Queen flew on Concorde. Meanwhile, John’s flying quickly progressed from gliding to flying de Havilland Tridents. Following his retirement from BA in 2001, he flew private jets for the next 15 years and continues to fly his own aircraft today.
