Great Minds Think Alike
Having learned that the team now working on the restoration to taxiable condition of the DH88 Comet Racer G-ACSR has decided to paint it green, DHAM Times has been made aware that the one and only Airfix has just launched a new plastic aircraft kit.
Guess what? It is of the Comet Racer, and its colour is green! While the red Grosvenor House and black Black Magic are the well-known two survivors of the three built in the 1930s, the third was not given a name but still managed to set up two world records. It was sadly destroyed in a hangar fire, and so both DHAM and Airfix, unknown to each other, are commemorating the “lost” Comet Racer.

The de Havilland Aircraft Museum has qualified for Certificate of Excellence Hall of Fame from TripAdvisor because the Museum has earned a Certificate of Excellence every year since 2016.
The Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence was awarded to the de Havilland Aircraft Museum in recognition for Excellence in Hospitality.
As a recipient of this award, it means that our volunteers and staff have been recognized for delivering consistently great service, as defined by the reviews of travelers and visitors.
The recognition distinguishes the Museum from other attractions and gives visitors more reason to choose the de Havilland Aircraft Museum.
