November round-up
As November unfolded our museum continued to be a hub of activity.
A Remembrance Weekend Commemoration allowed us to pay tribute to those who served, reflecting on their sacrifice and courage.
The Rapide fuselage now graces the Geoffrey de Havilland hangar, adding another interesting exhibit and a chance to finally see the restoration work close up.
In the spirit of celebration, we gathered to honour volunteer John Ballam, marking a remarkable milestone—his 100th birthday! A heartfelt congratulations to John for his dedication and passion.
Veterans Colin Bell and George Dunn from 608 Mosquito Sqdn received a special presentation of a painting , recognising their invaluable contribution. We salute you, Colin and George.
Our hangars echoed with the laughter and curiosity of students from Bonneygrove Primary School (Cheshunt) and Bishop’s Girls High School (Hatfield) during their visits. It’s always a pleasure to share the wonders of aviation with the next generation.
A sincere thank you to everyone who made these moments possible. Here’s to more fun and celebration in coming days at the museum!
