Volunteering

The de Havilland Aircraft Museum is mostly staffed  by unpaid volunteers of all ages and sexes who perform a wide range of tasks according to their skills.

The de-Havilland Aircraft Museum Volunteer Crew

The Volunteer Crew are united in our mission to restore, preserve and display de Havilland Aircraft and artefacts. We are a “working” Museum where the visiting public are encouraged to get close up to the aircraft and engage with our friendly volunteers
We are always interested in recruiting people to fill the following positions:

  • Stewards and Aircraft Guardians
  • Marketing and Research
  • Restoration
  • Site Maintenance
  • Carpentry
  • Metal work

If you think you could help us by giving a little of your time we would like to hear from you. You might like to view an interview with Lesley Kazar, one of our many Volunteers which will provide an insight into volunteering at the de Havilland Aircraft Museum.

A good first step is to complete the Volunteer Application Form which can be downloaded here or by e-mailing Mike Nevin on volunteers@dehavillandmuseum.co.uk
