Volunteer

Why Not be Part of our Award Winning Team?

Britain’s first aircraft museum takes a lot of looking after, relying on a team of volunteers of all ages and backgrounds. As well as assisting with stewarding and visitor hospitality, we are interested in people with experience of:

  • Events Administration
  • Marketing & Social media
  • Garden maintenance
  • Graphic design and artwork
  • Payroll/clerical
  • Sponsorship and funding generation

AWARDS

Award for Voluntary Service

Our volunteers were honoured with The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in 2022, the highest award for local volunteer groups, equivalent to an MBE. Presented by the Duke of Gloucester, this award recognizes the team’s exceptional dedication to restoring iconic aircraft, such as the Mosquito, and providing excellent visitor experiences.

We are a friendly crowd and it’s a rewarding role securing a significant part of Britain’s aircraft heritage
